Gala Games are making big announcements at their Galaverse conference in Malta this week. They kicked off Day 1 with the debut of “Project Saturn” – a Battlestar Galactica-themed blockchain game for the web3 community. The game is being developed by Revolving Games, Inc. in collaboration with Gala Games, Universal Games and Digital Platforms.
“Project Saturn” takes place within the world of the re-imagined TV series that aired for four seasons from 2003–2004 on Syfy. The game is described as a 4X Strategy MMO. 4X (Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate) is a subgenre of strategy-based computer and board games, and include both turn-based and real-time strategy titles. The gameplay involves building an empire. Emphasis is placed upon economic and technological development, as well as a range of military and non-military routes to supremacy.
