TRIPP, Inc. announced on Twitter that they have raised $11.2 million in funding for their “mindful metaverse”. The funding was raised from BITKRAFT Ventures, Amazon Alexa Fund, Qualcomm, HTC, Niantic, Inc. and Mayfield Fund. This Series A now brings Tripp’s total funding to $26.3 million to date.
TRIPP, Inc. reports that it will use the funding to help meet the growing global demand for mental wellbeing through Tripp’s extended-reality (XR) wellness accessible through augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mobile game application.
Tripp also recently acquired Eden, a cross-service worldbuilding platform by video game developer BeardedEye. Eden marks Tripp’s third acquisition since CEO Nanea Reeves co-founded the firm in 2017, and their second acquisition in 2022 alone.
The announcement comes on the heels of Tripp’s newly revamped mobile gaming app and collaboration with Luminance to develop next-generation wellness gaming experiences and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
