Mastercard announced that they are working with Immutable X, Candy Digital, The Sandbox, Mintable, Spring, Nifty Gateway, and MoonPay to allow individuals to use their Mastercard cards for NFT and web3 purchases. This adds to Mastercards existing endeavors to join the world of web3. Just last month, Mastercard announced a partnership with Coinbase’s new NFT marketplace.
The company said they hope to “bring its payments network to the world of web3,” making it possible to purchase NFT and other web3 assets with their debit and credit cards. The integration will enable users to purchase NFTs in an “easier and safer” manner by using their cards, to complete the transaction. Now clients can buy the NFTs they want on the marketplace of their choice without having to buy any crypto first.
The company has stated that these integrations are designed to make crypto more accessible to web2 users/generations. Thus helping the NFT ecosystem keep growing, innovating and bringing in more web2 clientele to the web3 space.
