Addicting Games is a gaming publisher that has been around for over twenty years, they offer free games on the web or on mobile devices. Their goal has been to not only publish cutting-edge games but to also produce them. Among their many varied titles, they have a new blockchain game called ev.io.
Bill Karamouzis is the CEO of Addicting Games where he oversees the company’s operations, growth strategies, and product development. As a lifelong gamer and entrepreneur Bill has been in the gaming industry for over 20 years with a passion and love for blending gaming and learning.
ev.io is described as a play-to-earn FPS on Solana. It takes inspiration from “bungee-style” shooters, like Halo or Destiny. The beta version launched in January of 2021 and it already has over 400,000 registered users. The game plays directly in browser with no downloads or installs needed and is designed first and foremost to be highly accessible on all desktop devices.
ev.io was heavily influenced by Halo, featuring futuristic environments, and sci-fi weapons. There’s also a robust skill system, letting players unlock various abilities by spending points. Abilities in the ev.io roster include double jumping, teleporting, and increased sprint speed.
ev.io recently announced an upcoming mint for their “First Edition Swords” on Magic Eden – on August 19th.
