Dr Disrespect is arguably one of the most successful gaming content creators on YouTube. However, the Doc is famous for more than just his gaming persona on stream, he has also started his own AAA game studio. Known as Midnight Society, this game studio founded by Dr Disrespect has caught the attention of not only fans of the streamer but also many in the gaming community.
Midnight Society is described as a new kind of AAA game studio and publishing model with over a decade in the making. The studio is made up of a group of ambitious game industry veterans who see a future in which “developers no longer create experiences in a vacuum and players share in a game’s success”. Their Day Zero Community exploded the moment the project was announced – with 400,000 Founders Access Pass applications submitted.
Midnight Society says: “it is focused on delivering the most community-focused, online PVP multiplayer experience the world has ever seen. Built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, their new title – Deadrop – will be made open to their Day Zero community and major content creators from the earliest most iterations via the Founders Access Pass.”
