Animoca Brands and Play Magnus Group (PMG) announced earlier this year a partnership to bring PMG’s Meltwater Champions Chess Tour into the metaverse. As part of the partnership, Lympo (a sports NFT ecosystem and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands) stated they will create an NFT collection, social tokens, and a blockchain-based chess-inspired game for PMG’s Champions Chess Tour.
Animoca Brands’ web3 chess game, Anichess, releases new promo materials. The press coverage states that the upcoming game will be a “classic chess-inspired experience with a magical twist. Where players can discover new strategies, use magic powers to interact with the pieces, and reign supreme over their opponents.”
Anichess will utilize Lympo’s $SPORT token as its primary utility token, which will act as a gateway to the broader Lympo ecosystem, enhancing the playing experience and value proposition of the game.
