The Los Angeles company, Muus Collective has just announced they have raised $5 million in a new funding round. Griffin Gaming Partners led the round, and Emily Wang, managing director at LionTree and Griffin Gaming Partners, apparently helped get the startup off the ground.
The two companies stated in a press release that they are planning to work together “to advance diversity in gaming, web3, and fashion through inclusion, collaboration, and empowerment.” The company is preparing to launch its first web3-enabled mobile game that will supposedly empower players to “create, have fun and earn.”
Muus Collective was founded by Sarah Fuchs, who has more than 20 years of experience building, operating, and growing successful game studios. She recently served as vice president and general manager of Covet Fashion, the top fashion mobile gaming platform. She also led production on The Sims Mobile and served as a producer for many PC and console titles at Activision, Maxis, and Electronic Arts. Sarah Fuchs is passionate about making space for female creators and creating products for diverse audiences.
