John Attanasio, CEO of Toonstar, reveals that “The Gimmicks” season two coming to the Avalanche blockchain. Hollywood veteran writers, Dave Ihlenfeld and David Wright, who worked on Family Guy and Star Trek, will continue as executive producers of the series. Additionally, Riverdale’s Mark Consuelos will join The Gimmicks team as Executive Producer and voice talent.
Toonstar is a web3 animation studio that co-produces The Gimmicks with Mila Kunis’ company Sixth Wall. Toonstar announced on Twitter last month a partnership with retail chain Hot Topic, Inc. to provide NFTs and web3 experiences for its original projects and Hot Topic products.
Toonstar’s proprietary technologies enable NFT holders to interact on-chain. The community will be able to interact on-chain with “Upvoting” (a Reddit-like forum), as well as “Hot or Not” (a Rotten Tomatoes-like rating board).
