Misfits Gaming Group has just announced the launch of its $20 million creator fund and a strategic partnership with QTCinderella. The fund’s main aim is to provide the infrastructure that creatives need to “implement their ambitious and innovative projects”. QTCinderella is the popular streamer and creator of The Streamer Awards – she recently left TSM to work with Misfits Gaming Group on growing her events management company.
MGG was founded by Ben Spoont in partnership with Syfy Channel founders Laurie Silvers and Mitch Rubenstein. Based in South Florida, Misfits Gaming Group is a global esports and entertainment company. They compete in some of the most successful video game titles worldwide and are permanent partners in three franchised esports leagues: Riot Games’ League of Legends European Championship: Misfits Gaming, Activision-Blizzard’s Overwatch League: Florida Mayhem, and Activision-Blizzard’s Call of Duty League: Florida Mutineers, as well as competing in other major titles like Fortnite.
