Mirandus recently released two new gameplay trailers in an interview with Gala Games Co-Founder Michael McCarthy and Mirandus’ lead engineer Jason Hughes. The upcoming fantasy MMORPG by Gala Games, Mirandus, will allow players to own assets from in-game shops to entire cities. Offering a wide range of ownership rights, a thriving game economy is possible for players who want to interact with the community or influence the game world.
Mirandus is going to be an open-world game where everything is meant to be controlled and created by the players. Players will essentially run and own most of the game – the cities, buildings, storefronts, etc. Items for Mirandus are already on sale at the Gala marketplace and can be bought with $GALA and other currencies.
Mirandus will be free to play and won’t require the purchase of an NFT to participate. However, individuals can buy elite avatars, called exemplar avatars, with special abilities to enhance the gameplay, but they’re optional. There will be normal, free avatars to use.
Mirandus also announces another short playtest, this one for its Tavern Games. The playest will be open to all, but only for a limited window. Players have a chance to wager and win copper coins, with the biggest winners receiving special prizes at the end of the event.
