Sleepagotchi launches a mobile app that gamifies sleep via digital collectibles and raises $3.5 million. Anton Kraminkin and Alex Karatkou co-founded the company. Sleepagotchi uses game-like interaction and social elements to help users improve their sleeping habits. Investors in the funding round included 6th Man Ventures, Collab+Currency, Shima Capital, 1kx, DeFi Alliance, Sfermion, Emoote, and LCA Game Guild.
Angel investors included Cem Kansu (vice president of products at Duolingo), Santiago R. Santos & Justin Melillo (founder of Mona). Serge Kassardjian (general partner at 6th Man Ventures and CEO of Staytuned) will join the board of Sleepagotchi as a director, and Derek Schloss (managing partner at Collab+Currency) will join as an Observer.
Sleepagotchi rewards users for meeting consistent sleep goals with digital collectibles. Every morning, users claim a digital collectible from which they can construct virtual collectible rooms.
