The round was co-led by Blockchange Ventures and Decasonic with participation from Abies Ventures, Accord Ventures, Anfield Ltd., Outlier Ventures, and Primal Capital. The extended reality (XR) startup says it is building a decentralized streaming network that has been likened to the “MP3 of AR”. 

Mawari plans to use the funds to expand its research and development team, and ramp up the development of the Mawari Network. Mawari Network is a decentralized XR content delivery network built on the principles of web3 technology. The platform will be powered by Mawari Engine, an in-house interactive 3D rendering and streaming technology. 

Paul Hsu is the Founder and CEO of Decasonic. Mawari founder and CEO is Luis Oscar Ramirez Solorzano.
