SuperDuper and Immutable announce collaboration to develop a real-time Web3 strategy game based on its Overlord intellectual property.

SuperDuper has introduced Overlord as a versatile Web3 gaming and entertainment brand, forming an integral part of their strategy to engage with and attract millions of users into its Web3 ecosystem. 

Previously, in January of this year SuperDuper launched its NFT collection “Cold Blooded Creepz” and to date has generated over $220 million in trading volume.

SuperDuper is presently utilizing the Overlord platform to collaborate with gaming studios and a game development advisory board in the creation of multiple blockchain games. Their initial significant collaboration involved partnering up with Revolving Games who is developing a blockchain game for the mass market using Overlord’s intellectual property.

The partnership between SuperDuper and Immutable will not only allow SuperDuper to develop a real-time Web3 strategy game based on Overlord’s IP, but also enable SuperDuper to provide their customers with gas-free trading of digital assets for players across its web3 ecosystem. Furthermore, as the SuperDuper brand and its Overlord IP expands, all associated assets will be available on various Immutable-integrated marketplaces including GameStop Marketplace, Rarible, and Token Trove. In conclusion, the partnership between Immutable and SuperDuper will deliver an immersive Web3 experience to customers, Revolutionize asset trading, and expand the reach of Overlord’s IP in blockchain gaming.

Serving as a tool for creators and companies to publish their NFTs online and sell them to its customers, Rarible and Animoca Brands have partnered up to launch the Animoca Brands Mocaverse NFT collection on Rarible’s NFT marketplace.

Featuring 8,888 Moca NFT Profile Picture (PFPs), this gives people access to the Mocaverse community that serves as a membership pass for Animoca Brands team members, certain token holders, partners, and investors where Mocaverse holders can connect, learn, play games together, and more as they help build the future of Web3. 

To improve the safety and authenticity of Mocaverse NFTs, Animoca Brands has chosen to launch their Mocaverse NFT collection on Rarible’s NFT marketplace as part of their partnership. The Mocaverse Marketplace in Rarible will offer its customers 0% platform fees on native Mocaverse collection listings. The Mocaverse Marketplace experience offers unique features that include filtering with Moca XP points and support for five other ERC-20 Tokens.

In addressing the Moca XP rewards system and how it will impact the value of Mocaverse NFTs saying: Alan Lau, Chief Business Officer of Animoca Brands said: “With the integration of our Moca XP rewards system, the value of a Mocaverse NFT cannot be defined by traits or rarity alone, nor could that value be accurately reflected in generic marketplace settings.” “By offering Mocaverse holders various custom marketplace features developed in partnership with Rarible, we can effectively integrate trading activities into our broader ecosystem while facilitating a seamless Mocaverse experience.”

With this partnership between Animoca Brands and Rarible, Animoca Brands Mocaverse NFT collection on Rarible’s NFT Marketplace will allow Mocaverse holders to purchase its NFTs on one marketplace in what is said to be a safe and authentic way to address the safety concerns associated with trading on third-party platforms. 

The aggregated marketplace means that users can now purchase NFTs from a range of Ethereum-based NFT marketplaces within Rarible. The list includes OpenSea, LooksRare, X2Y2, Sudoswap, and all community marketplaces powered by Rarible Protocol. 

Users will also apparently be able to buy NFTs from different marketplaces in a single transaction at no extra cost. This will hopefully cut down transaction costs as users will no longer have to pay multiple gas fees across marketplaces. 

The second update from Rarible 2 is its new rewards program. Originally, Rarible issued its native token, $RARI as a reward for listing and buying NFTs on the platform. Token holders also get governing rights in its decentralized autonomous organization, RARI DAO. 

Now, the DAO has introduced a new “locking” process wherein token holders can lock their tokens. Those who lock 100 $RARI or more will get a range of benefits. This includes 0% seller fees on the platform, private Discord access, RARI Prime badge, and veRARI tokens. 

Alternatively, those who have less than 100 $RARI tokens can lock them up in exchange for an equivalent amount of veRARI tokens. These tokens give them voting power on the RARI Foundation proposals. 

PlanetQuest is described as a “top-down 3D shooter that lets players team up with their friends to take on missions on uncharted planets”. Players can play in co-op or versus mode, where teams of players from different factions face off against each other in a battle for control over key locations and artifacts.

The Genesis Engine is PlanetQuest’s in-house technology that is capable of procedurally generating and rendering entire planets from orbit which can be loaded and rendered in real-time in the web browser. This tech is what allows the PlanetQuest team to sell 3D planets as NFTs. 

PlanetQuest is currently being developed by a diverse team of people who have previously worked in Hollywood, games, AI, procedural generation, and more. They just closed the sale of their planets but guilds, Gear, and other key NFTs will be revealed in full over the course of the year, along with a first look at the planet’s surface and gameplay previews that can be played by the community.
