MetaMask and Asset Reality confirmed on Twitter a partnership to help victims targeted in crypto fraud schemes.
Asset Reality is a crypto detective service that aims to help users who have fallen victim to hacking or rugging scandals. Asset Reality said that their process is similar to how a bank might proceed if you had your credit or debit card stolen. The investigative firm may additionally help victims band together and, in some cases, put them in touch with lawyers, forensic services and law enforcement.
MetaMask plans on creating a new platform on their website that will invite users to report funds lost to hackers, and to supply details about how the hack took place. In response, Asset Reality will contact them and, in some cases, help them to take steps to recover the funds.
