The Sandbox announced a collaboration with “Elvis On-Chain” on May 26th to bring the King of rock and roll to the virtual world. The event was created to help celebrate ELVIS Presley’s birthday. The collaboration includes ELVIS Presley Enterprises and web3 studio, Run it Wild. As well as notable partners such as Decentraland, Dappraft, Metakey, and VoxelArchitects.
The 1,935 Elvis Genesis Key NFTs will be minted as the all-access pass to the Elvis-On-Chain Metaverse, launching on June 1st. An Elvis Block Party will be hosted on Decentraland after the genesis NFT mint. It will also be a Guinness World Record attempt for the most Elvis impersonators in one place in the Metaverse.
Attendees will be able to put Elvis wearables, including his jumpsuit and styled wig. At the same time, holders of the elusive Elvis Genesis Key NFTs will be awarded officially licensed Elvis Decentraland wearables.
The native token for The Sandbox – We Are Hiring! surged almost 20% after the announcement.
