Popular Animoca Brands subsidiary, The Sandbox, announced their recent purchase of the South American technology company Cualit. Shortly after the deal’s announcement, the price of the native token, $SAND, jumped by nearly 12%. The companies both stated that they aim to join forces and develop an infrastructure that will promote innovations in the web3 and blockchain universe.
Cualit was founded by two brothers, Martin and Frederico Perez. Cualit has been involved in innovating the South American blockchain industry for the last decade. They have been particularly pivotal in decentralizing the Uruguay tech industry by creating frameworks for novel projects and infrastructure developments.
Uruguay is the second South American country where the Animoca Brands subsidiary has expanded after launching a development team in Argentina.
