Cristiano Ronaldo just announced on Twitter a multi-year joint marketing agreement with crypto company Binance. In the pipeline are multiple Ronaldo NFT collections which will be produced and released exclusively on the Binance NFT marketplace. Ronaldo’s first NFTs for Binance are expected to go on sale later this year.
Binance is one of the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchanges by trading volumes. The company stated that their aim is to give Ronaldo’s fans an introduction to web3 with a “compelling entry point into the world of NFTs”. Binance recently announced it was sponsoring musician The Weeknd’s upcoming world tour. This was covered in a previous write up by RE3W and GFPs.
Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo has over 400 million followers on Instagram and is known for his huge social media presence. He is most famous for playing professional soccer and is a five-time winner of the “FIFA player of the year” award.
