Cornucopias is a blockchain-based play-to-earn and build-to-earn game where players own characters, land, and other NFT (non-fungible tokens) based assets that have real-world value. Co-founded by Robert Greig, Josh Jones, Ant Renicks, and Geoff Hewett – Frédéric Chesnais, former CEO of Atari, is on the board of advisers along with other notable individuals. Cornucopias recently sold out on the largest NFT land sale on Cardano.
“The Island” is split into a number of themed zones such as the “Wild-West” zone, the “Farm-Life” zone, and the “Age of The Samurai” zone. In these zones players can participate in a series of mini-games with various sub genres. By playing Cornucopias and its variety of mini-games, and accompanying mobile and browser-based games, players can earn in-game currency in the form of virtual in-game tokens known as “Gold”. The in-game currency can then be exchanged for $COPI tokens which have real-world value.
Cornucopias is currently available globally and “The Island” is built on the Unreal 5 games engine which is compatible with the PC, Mobile Phones, Games Consoles, and Smart TV’s. The Cornucopias ecosystem is constantly evolving as a result of a growing number of communities including blockchain, Unreal Game Developers, Voxel, 3D Artists and Modellers.
