Doodles are a collection of 10,000 NFTs (non-fungible tokens) that are made up of hundreds of various visual traits designed by the web3 artist “Burnt Toast”. The hand-drawn Doodles include skellys, cats, aliens, apes, and mascots. The Doodles collection also includes dozens of rare heads, costumes, and colorways.
Owning a Doodle allows holders to vote on community-driven features, products, and events. This makes their roadmap collaborative to be decided by the project founders and Doodle holders via the Doodlebank. The Doodlebank is a community treasury that apparently holds over $5 million USD and is used to fund these experiences.
Doodles recently announced that Pharrell Williams has joined their team. The award-winning musician and fashion icon will take on the position of Chief Brand Officer. In addition, Pharrell has joined the board of Doodles NFT. Pharrell is hoping to help Doodles with a web3-powered approach to music, art, animation, consumer goods, and live events. The announcement is a milestone for Doodles as it builds a global web3 media brand.
One of Pharrell’s first contributions to Doodles NFT will be Doodles Records: Volume 1. The Grammy winner will be the executive producer of the upcoming Doodles album. The album is said to feature major recording artists, as well as limited edition visuals and album art from Doodles founder and artist Burnt Toast. Significantly, this will be Doodles’ first music release with Columbia Records.
