Mythical Games has officially launched its Blankos Block Party on the Epic Games Store. The game is now free-to-play and available to download as of this week, September 28th. They also have a major collaboration with Atari ongoing currently. To celebrate the official launch, Mythical has also partnered with Toho to put iconic monsters Godzilla, Mothra, and Mecha-Godzilla in the game as playable Blankos.
The full game features Blankos Block Party’s Season One content. It is one of the first blockchain games specifically approved for sale on the Epic Games Store. The hope is this will lead to much wider exposure for the game and a chance to be part of a mass market. The Epic Games Store is a major platform for digital PC and Mac games, with apparently over 194 million users as of the end of 2021.
Co-developed with Third Kind Games, Blankos Block Party is described as a PC and Mac action game that lets players co-create and interact in vibrant 3D environments. The game uses NFT collectibles to represent user-owned items like unique avatars, inspired by the vinyl toy collectibles. The NFTs can be resold via Blankos’ marketplace.
