Cool Cats announces it has received a strategic investment from Animoca. The company stated that the partnership will hopefully drive Cool Cats’ mission to become the most “prominent global NFT brand and a robust media and content company” through the expansion of its web3 gaming offerings.
The strategic partnership is apparently the culmination of a longstanding relationship between Ken Cron, Executive Chairman of Cool Cats Group, and Yat Siu, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Animoca.
On September 1st, 2022, Cool Cats announced it was partnering with GAMEE, one of Animoca Brands’ subsidiaries. As part of the GAMEE partnership, Cool Cats holders have been able to access exclusive NFT claims, raffles, and community giveaways. Moreover, Animoca recently closed a strategic funding round of $110 million from a group of new investors. The new capital is going towards building on GameFi opportunities, including play-and-earn. Yat Sui said that the new partnership between Cool Cats and Animoca will “enable both companies to deliver these new, unique and compelling gaming experiences to their respective communities and the broader gaming audience”.
