Behold Ventures announces a raise of $25.9 million to create a new gaming venture capital fund for gaming start-ups specifically in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland. Karl Magnus Troedsson is co-founder and veteran of the well-known Electronic Arts’ DICE studio. Behold Ventures has apparently already invested in 12 gaming startups.
One of the investments is “Sun Scorched Studios” in the United Kingdom. It has a distributed indie team with high-production values on a shoestring budget so far. Another is Sweden’s “Lurkit Studios”, which apparently wants to change how developers and publishers do direct influencer marketing with a new platform. Another investment is Sweden’s “Snowscape Studios”, a small company that has AI technology for games.
