Splinterlands is one of the longest running and most active play-to-earn (P2E) games in the web3 space, boasting over 350,000 players and 12 million plus transactions daily. Hulk Labs and Tokens.com Corp are building the game – Andrew Kiguel is currently CEO.
Splinterlands is described as an online web3 collectible card game that uses blockchain technology. Every card in the game is owned as a non-fungible token (NFT) and is traded using similar features to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Similar in nature to popular web2 collectible trading card games like Magic: The Gathering or Pokemon.
Splinterlands revealed last week that at the end of this month they will be introducing soulbound reward cards. This new reward set edition is associated with their Chaos Legion card deck which consists of 43 cards. Splinterlands also announced the game is launching on Flame during the initial beta period – linked below.
Other Roadmap Updates:
Q1 – Implementation of DEC batteries, the change to Souldbound reward cards, new rulesets and league rating changes.
Q2 – SPS staking requirements for ranked leagues.
Q3 – Land phase 2 & SPS node mainnet live.
