Co-Founders Joe Carnell & Dom Smith reveal Overlord xyz was selected as one of Spotify’s partners in a new pilot project. These will include an exclusive pilot of their token-enabled playlists and the launch of a holder-curated playlist.
Overlord’s mission is to invest in and build technology and experiences to onboard the first billion users into Web3. The company is headed up by the team behind the NFT project Creepz.
Spotify has started rolling out a function called token-enabled playlists, which allows users who hold specific NFTs to access exclusive content and interact with the music-hosting app differently.
Spotify is working with a startup called Overlord, which tweeted on Wednesday that the pilot would be available in the U.S., UK, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. Overlord said it would only be accessible on Android and to people holding Creepz NFTs.
Overlord is building a gaming and entertainment ecosystem. They have a game ecosystem at the core, with multiple games in development. Overlord is developing its IP with strategic media partners such as Stoopid Buddy Stoodios & ThreeSixZero.
