Metagame secures funding at $100 million valuation to develop upcoming third-person ARPG Abyss World
Abyss World is described as a triple-A game on the Sui ecosystem. It is being developed collaboratively with Mysten Labs and scheduled for private testing in Q2 2023, with a public alpha release focusing on PVE gameplay planned for Q3 2023.
The project has generated considerable interest, with around 120,000 global pre-orders registered on the Steam wishlist and its game trailers well over 600,000 views since the beginning of this year.
Participants in the funding round included: Mysten Labs, the Funplus/Xterio Ecosystem Fund, Big Brain Holdings, 2moon Capital, Chainhill Capital, Dweb3 Capital, ZeroX Fund, GMA, and MH Ventures.
