Redemption Games is best known for creating the mobile game Sweet Escapes before it was acquired. According to Redemption co-founder Michael Witz, Sweet Escapes generated more than $60 million in lifetime revenue.
Redemption Games founders Michael Witz and Dan Lin are also behind Jam City’s hit mobile game Cookie Jam, which generated more than $500 million for the mobile game publisher. Jam City also acquired Mob Science, another game studio co-founded by Lin and Witz. 
In other news, AppLovin has proposed to combine with Unity for about $17 billion. AppLovin, the mobile monetization platform, announced it has submitted a non-binding proposal to Unity. Offering to “combine” with Unity, it’s more of a proposed acquisition for what would amount to about $17 billion. However, they made clear that Unity would have to terminate its planned acquisition of Ironsource, one of AppLovin’s competitors.
