The round was co-led by Framework Ventures – with additional participation coming from Delphi Digital, Karatage, Fourth Revolution Capital, Monoceros, 32bit Ventures, Stateless Ventures, Snackclub, and Norte Ventures.

Jungle was co-founded by Joao Beraldo, Giulio Ferraro, and Lucas Kertzman. Joao and the team say that Jungle has a unique approach to game publishing – it sources and acquires underutilized intellectual properties from established game companies. It then develops the product vision and go-to-market strategy and launches the title with a focus on web3 distribution, growth, and monetization. This approach apparently allows the company to bring its games to market faster, while still delivering quality experiences to players.

Jungle’s first title will be a Web3 mobile shooter with a gameplay-first focus – apparently launching in 2023. It is being designed for a casual mainstream audience.

Immutable has just announced the launch of a $500 million Developer and Venture Fund for web3 games and NFT projects. Immutable said the fund will collaborate with crypto and gaming investors including big names such as BITKRAFT, Animoca, Arrington Capital, Double Peak, Airtree, King River Capital and GameStop. The new Developer and Venture Fund will also build on the Immutable X protocol through token grants and investments – $IMX being Immutable X’s native token.

The Immutable Developer and Venture Fund has invested in web3 companies and NFT startups including Starkware, Stardust, PlanetQuest and Kongregate. Some of the names already building on Immutable include GameStop, TikTok, Opensea, Ember Sword and more.
