Mystic Moose is adding customizable features for its web3 game Planet Mojo and its community. Traditionally NFTs are limited to image-based, static assets but Planet Mojo’s Mojo Melee will be the first web3 game to use actual 3D models and animations as digital collectibles, “allowing users to fully express their unique style”.
The 3D “mod-able” Mojos will be customized using new items and collectibles to create a unique look that is completely player-owned. A wide range of clothing options such as hats, shirts, glasses, costumes, and more are available to help make each Mojo truly unique. These dress-up items will appear on Mojos during gameplay in Mojo Melee.
Mystic Moose said they will be seeking brand and IP partnerships as part of this initiative. Chris Akhavan, Chief Gaming Officer at Magic Eden.
The announcement “highlights Magic Eden’s commitment to pushing the web3 gaming industry forward”. Magic Eden recently hired Chris Akhavan as Chief Gaming Officer, and expanded onto the Polygon blockchain.
Since Magic Eden Ventures launched in July 2022, their gaming team has been working closely with innovative game studios with a long-term vision in web3 gaming. The eleven studios range from web3 native developers to studios from traditional gaming backgrounds.
