Now available for early access, HyperPlay’s game launcher will enable players to bring their wallet, tokens, NFTs, and other assets into any game by utilizing an integrated wallet overlay. This gives players the ability to carry one’s wallet and identity across different games marking the initial progress towards achieving complete and effortless interoperability.

With their HyperPlay store, players can effortlessly explore different web3 games and as a bonus for players, HyperPlay aggregates the entire library of the Epic Games Store and GOG as well. Through the multiple game stores that HyperPlay supports, they are creating competitive markets that allow developers to choose the distribution channels that align with their requirements.

HyperPlay is convinced web3 presents their company with the opportunity to construct game worlds that are permissionless, extensible, and inoperable. This in turn will allow the creation of new game types and genres, portable reputation systems, community governance, and other sustainable business models as well. Star Atlas is described as a “next-generation gaming experience with triple-A game design and visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5 – originally built on the Solana blockchain”.

Star Atlas is made up of the team that built Multichain Ventures, a triple-A title game, and blockchain-driven virtual metaverse gaming development company. The Multichain Ventures team has been involved in blockchain since 2013.

Michael Wagner is the co-founder of Star Atlas and CEO of ATMTA. The other two co-founders of Star Atlas are the same co-founders of Multi-Chain ventures, Danny Floyd and Jacob Floyd.

The Early Access Launch’s release date was March 6th, 2023 on the Epic Games Store. The game also just migrated to the Immutable X ever growing ecosystem. The game supports the use of Blockchain, NFT technology, and Cryptocurrency. All transactions and related activity, payments for in-game purchases, refunds, and customer support are handled by the publisher of the product.

Mediatonic Limited is a British video game developer based in London. The company was founded in September 2005 by Brunel University students Dave Bailey and Paul Croft. Mediatonic released their first game Snowman Salvage in December of that year.

Mediatonic’s popular title Fall Guys was initially released as a premium platforming battle royale video game back in 2020 for PlayStation 4 and PC. Despite the limited platforms, the title was initially successful and Epic Games eventually purchased developer Mediatonic’s parent company, Tonic Games Group, back in March 2021. 

Fall Guys officially became a free-to-play video game as of June 21st, 2022, and launched on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox platforms, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Fall Guys developer Mediatonic just announced on Twitter that the game hit 20 million players in the first 48 hours of it going “free-to-play” on the Epic Games Store.

Mythical has now just announced that their well-known NFT game “Blankos Block Party” will be featured on the Epic Games Store. This will be the second web3 game to be added to the marketplace. Popular publisher Gala Games announced earlier this month at Galaverse in Malta they are releasing the web3 game GRIT, a Wild West-themed shooter, on Epic’s marketplace later this year.
