Gala Games Partners With Unity and Gallium In $20 Million Deal

Gala Games has partnered with Unity and Gallium Studios in a $20 million deal to build out their VOXverse. VOXverse is the metaverse for Gala Games‘ VOX Collectible Series, which encompasses multiple games. Unity has stated that they will use its development and real-time 3D platform expertise to work on the VOXverse.

Gala Games decided to join forces with The Sims designer Will Wright and his team at Gallium Studios to help create the unique VOX world. Their metaverse will be powered by NFT memory and feature continually growing and evolving characters.

In VOXverse, every avatar has unique personalities and encounters, which change over time as a result of in-game experiences. Players can build social influence, compete in factions, participate in world-building, own land in several dimensions, explore different terrains, and portal into Gala’s other live games.

Gala Games Announced New Turn-Based RPG

Day Two at the “Into Galaverse” conference in Malta and Gala Games announces a new turn-based RPG called “Champions Arena”. The game is being built by game developers OneUniverse.

Champions Arena will be home to 100 unique NFT “Champions” that players can choose from. There will be two ways players can use their NFT “Champions” in the game:

– Control them in real-time as they engage in turn-based, tactical battles

– Dispatch on Missions to earn rewards

In the game, players will be rewarded with digital assets in the form of equipment which will help the “Characters” fight and win battles. There will be in-game strategies that the players can follow such as “Deck Building”. Additionally, players will be able to win rewards in the form of Spells and Skill Cards.

All NFT “Champions” will have unique traits and these traits will be upgradeable as they win battles. As players keep winning and progressing in the game, they’ll see their “Champion” get more unique and grow stronger.

Gala Games announced on Twitter the integration of Chainlink Labs VRF to ensure “fun and fair gameplay”. Gala Games is building one of the largest decentralized networks of gamers, powered by the Gala Node Ecosystem. In this P2E card game, players create decks using Creatures and Heroes, then use them in battle against other players for a chance to earn daily crypto rewards.
