Axie Infinity: Origins is a card-based strategy game where players collect, own, and use an infinite variety of creatures called axies to battle. The game has just passed its review with Apple and is now available on the App store in Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Venezuela, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

In December 2022, they launched a feature-limited Origins on the Malaysian Google PlayStore. This gave their team the chance to optimize gameplay before expanding to other markets. The team says they have taken a similar strategy with the App Store in countries throughout LATAM and Asia.

In this early iOS version of Origins, players had a choice: use their own NFT axies OR upgradeable starter axies to play. Both will work in Adventure and Arena Modes.
