SuperDuper and Immutable announce collaboration to develop a real-time Web3 strategy game based on its Overlord intellectual property.
SuperDuper has introduced Overlord as a versatile Web3 gaming and entertainment brand, forming an integral part of their strategy to engage with and attract millions of users into its Web3 ecosystem.
Previously, in January of this year SuperDuper launched its NFT collection “Cold Blooded Creepz” and to date has generated over $220 million in trading volume.
SuperDuper is presently utilizing the Overlord platform to collaborate with gaming studios and a game development advisory board in the creation of multiple blockchain games. Their initial significant collaboration involved partnering up with Revolving Games who is developing a blockchain game for the mass market using Overlord’s intellectual property.
The partnership between SuperDuper and Immutable will not only allow SuperDuper to develop a real-time Web3 strategy game based on Overlord’s IP, but also enable SuperDuper to provide their customers with gas-free trading of digital assets for players across its web3 ecosystem. Furthermore, as the SuperDuper brand and its Overlord IP expands, all associated assets will be available on various Immutable-integrated marketplaces including GameStop Marketplace, Rarible, and Token Trove. In conclusion, the partnership between Immutable and SuperDuper will deliver an immersive Web3 experience to customers, Revolutionize asset trading, and expand the reach of Overlord’s IP in blockchain gaming. 
Fenix Games recently announced it has raised $150 million to create a “new kind of publisher for blockchain gaming”. The hope is to create a publisher and platform company that plays a crucial role in bringing blockchain games to market. Fenix Games plans to use the capital to acquire, invest and publish both existing games and blockchain games of the future. The investors include Phoenix Group and Cypher Capital.
Chris Ko is CEO and Co-Founder. Chris Ko was previously senior vice president of corporate development for Mythical Games. He has nearly 20 years of gaming experience, and he held general manager positions at Electronic Arts and Kabam. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager at Blackrock and an equity research analyst at JPMorgan.
Rudy Koch is the chief business officer and a Co-Founder. Rudy has 15 years of experience in game development on the biggest names in the industry: Club Penguin, Call of Duty, Skylanders, and World of Warcraft. Rudy is also notably Co-Founder of Mythical Games.
Robbie Ferguson says Immutable will provide the infrastructure for these games aiming to build in web3 to accelerate the space for all players.

Deployed on the Immutable X blockchain and now live through mobile app stores and for PC/Mac, the trading card game Cross The Ages has been building momentum during 2023. Especially in terms of downloads, it’s now generating on the Apple App Store in territories ranging from France to Australia and Japan.

The initial installment in the CTA literary series, “The Chrome Spell Book,” was written collaboratively by a team of 13 writers led by accomplished science fiction author Arnaud Dollen.
CTA’s team features over 70 international artists, including Joshua Cairos (Game of Thrones and Star Wars), Josu Salano (Lord of the Rings), Andreas Rochas (Harry Potter), and Sandra Duchiewitcz (Marvel Entertainment).
Immutable X and Honig Studios are building the web3-native trading card game (TCG) The Lost Glitches. The Lost Glitches card game “combines extensive role-playing elements with physical trading cards, with an emphasis on fun, replayability, immersive storytelling, and full digital ownership of collectibles.”
Honig Studios has over 10 years of experience in game development. Its previous title (El Hijo: A Wild West Tale) was released for PC, Switch, Playstation, Xbox, Stadia, iOS, and Android. It received several awards, including Gamescom Best Indie Game.
The first set of 400 cards for The Lost Glitches, called “Memories,” will be dedicated to the lost memories of all Glitches. A first limited edition drop of booster packs was released in December. The game will initially launch for PC and Mac on Steam and Epic Games Store in Q1 2024, with mobile and console versions soon to follow.
The Lost Glitches founder is Alexey Ivanov. 
The tournament is starting April 20th and will last for six days with various prizes to win. Kiraverse is described as an online multiplayer game, in the form of a third-person shooter. The web3 game opened its private play-testing in Q3 of last year, 2022. They are currently in open beta and available to play starting with two game modes “Elimination” and “free-for-all” but are soon to introduce a new battle royale mode.
Param Labs is the game and technology development company building the Kiraverse metaverse. They have ongoing partnerships with both Immutable X and GameStop.
Param Labs says it is a company “exclusively focused on the research and development of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality products and solutions”. Param Labs is based out of Dubai and India with partners in Saudi Arabia.
Quick facts: Illuvium is a blockchain-based game that employs a play-to-earn (P2E) mechanism. It was created on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain and can be accessed by both Mac and PC. The game enables players to explore an open world, collect NFTs, and participate in an auto battler.

Bright Star Studios are the creators of Ember Sword. Described as a web3 open-world sandbox role-playing game inspired by MMO legends such as World of Warcraft, Runescape, and Guild Wars. Ember Sword has cartoonish and simple graphics and will offer players: Quests, Nations, PvP, PvE, Guilds, Crafting, Professions, Gear, Roleplay, Trading, and more.
Ember Sword is preparing for an open alpha playtest this month – opening on April 18th and 19th, 2023, from 10 am CEST until 23:59 CEST each day. No token or NFT ownership is required for this alpha. Players need only register an account on the Ember Sword website.
There will be a series of five quests for this alpha, each one previewing a different part of the gameplay. The quests will be an introduction to the game and include PvE combat, resource collection, crafting, puzzle solving, and a PvP arena.
