Freeman Fan is the founder and CEO of Multiverse, a video game studio with a string of successful releases such as Seeking Dawn and Reveries: Dream Flight. Earth From Another Sun (EFAS) is his newest project in development.
EFAS is described as an action-packed first-person shooter experience in a multiplayer “living, breathing galaxy” with 1,000 troop armies fighting on a battlefield. EFAS apparently already has over ten thousand paying players after three and a half years of development. EFAS is built by a team of game veterans from the likes of Riot Games, Gameloft, Disney Interactive, Kylotonn, IGG, and Perfect World.
Earth From Another Sun (EFAS) – Gameplay Updates as of March 24th:
New SFX for battlefields, weapons & troops
Updated targeting AI & KNN algorithm
New blood splatters
New flying & weapon animations
New troop animations
The gaming studio is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and was co-founded by Frank Gigliotti, Dave Ratti, and Adam Bellefeuil. The team of nine people consists of mostly veterans of Epic Games, Respawn Entertainment, and Infinity Ward. They have worked on some of the most successful game franchises including Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty. Most have been making games for over two decades.
The studio is currently working on an original intellectual property in the early stages of pre-production. It’s apparently a multiplayer action-adventure game with an emphasis on “close-quarters combat set in a fantastical world where players embark on memorable adventures with their friends”.
