Discovery is releasing an NFT bundle for “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring”. The digital experience apparently includes the movie in 4K, never-seen-before footage, behind-the-scenes stills, and even AR collectibles. The locations chosen for the AR experiences are “The Shire,” “Rivendell,” and the “Mines Of Moria.”

The Warner Bros “Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring” NFTs are bundled into two editions:

– The $30 “Premium Mystery Edition” pack includes 10,000 random mint NFTs with Common, Uncommon, and Rare traits. Unlocking this pack will get fans a random interactive navigation menu from one of three “LOTR” locations. 

– The “Premiere Epic Edition,” running for $100, is the complete interactive navigation experience containing all three location points for fans to explore. This edition includes 999 Ultra Rare collectibles and extra perks apart from those included in the Mystery edition. 

Warner Bros. Discovery has partnered with blockchain company Eluvio to launch the NFTs. Eluvio is a carbon-conservative, and eco-friendly blockchain, and its “Content Fabric” blockchain is also Ethereum compatible.

Michelle Munson, CEO and co-founder of Eluvio, stated:

“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is setting a new bar for innovation in the distribution of home movies by demonstrating the potential of web3 for consumer engagement, digital supply chain transformation, and new business opportunities.”

Tuxedo Labs: Agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Swedish developer Tuxedo Labs. They are best known for creating the voxel-based destruction PC game Teardown. Embracer will be adding Dennis Gustafsson, Tuxedo Labs’ founder and CTO, and his team of five.

Lord of the Rings IP: Agreement to acquire Middle-earth Enterprises, a division of The Saul Zaentz Company, which owns the intellectual property catalog and worldwide rights to motion pictures, video games, board games, merchandising, theme parks, and stage productions relating to the iconic fantasy literary works The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Singtrix: Agreement to acquire Singtrix LLC from its founders. Singtrix is a vocal processing effects technology for karaoke, gaming, and entertainment. The Singtrix team has a 25-year history of developing iconic music games and is noted as the first to patent the core technology behind the Guitar Hero Franchise.

Limited Run Games: Agreement to acquire Limited Run Games, Inc. from its founders Josh Fairhurst and Douglas Bogart. Limited Run is a global leading collector-focused publisher of physical video games with a strong brand, established direct-to-consumer channels, and owns the development technology Carbon Engine that ports retro games to modern platforms.
