Million on Mars raises $3.5 million for blockchain-based space simulation game led by Great South Gate and Widus Partners. In the hardcore crafting game, players start with 40-acre plots of land and craft their way to economic independence on Mars.

Erik Bethke is the CEO of Million on Mars, he started the company with co-founder Keri Waters in 2020. Players harvest resources, craft goods, trade with each other both in-game and on-chain, build up their settlement, form settlements and go on “epic missions across the planet”.

Fractal launched in December of 2021. Only four months later, in April 2022, they announced the successful raise of $35 million in a seed funding round led by VC firm Andreessen Horowitz. The Solana-based NFT gaming marketplace recently announced on Twitter the addition of an exciting new feature – called “Sign In With Fractal” built specifically for web3 gamers in mind.

Million on Mars is a web-based and mobile-friendly Wax blockchain “play-to-own” game. Players can participate by acquiring land, depositing buildings, and crafting valuable resources.

Fable Kingdoms is a massively multiplayer online strategy game that is “play-to-earn” and built on the Solana Blockchain. Users can play via Web browser, iOS, or Android to create guilds and team up with friends. There will be regular tournaments with prizes, in-game messaging, and much more.

Reign of Terror is an MMO simulation game that takes place in a futuristic cyberpunk metaverse. Players go through the storyline by completing various types of missions that require collecting a diverse set of NFTs, represented as different game elements, such as heroes, units, equipment, blueprints, vehicles, land, etc.

The Harvest is a “free-to-play” MOBA Shooter. The PvPvE shooter game is played by 4 teams of 3 players each. Every team has a base where they have to store “Essence” during the match. The main goal of the game is to store as much “Essence” as possible after 10 minutes of a team fight.

The Sunflower Land and Million On Mars cross-chain web3 gaming event is running for 30 days, starting from May 24th. At the end of the event, the interoperability will remain in place for both games. Interoperability will be a key component of the web3 revolution as it allows for an interconnected internet where different apps, games and websites are all compatible with each other.

The collaboration between the two “play-to-own” web3 games aims to showcase the ability of coherent gameplay and interoperability across two different networks – specifically Wax and Polygon. Players of either game will be able to begin quests and crafting experiences in one game and finish in the other game, unlocking in-game tools, prizes, recipes, and surprises across both games.

“Million On Mars” also announced today that they are partnering with Fractal for its upcoming Martizen Mint on Solana. Million on Mars is a web-based and mobile-friendly Wax blockchain game. Players can buy unique land plots on the red planet to settle on Mars. Sunflower Land is built on Polygon. In the game players can plant, harvest, collect and craft resources to manage and grow their farmland and earn SFL tokens.
