Aptos Foundation and Outlier Ventures partner to launch Aptos X Outlier Move Accelerator. The program will apparently support startups building on the Aptos protocol with a primary focus on gaming.

The Aptos protocol is a layer 1 blockchain with a high level of scalability. This allows developers to build massive consumer-facing applications like blockchain games and decentralized social networks.

The program will take 12 weeks in Palo Alto, CA. Applications for the first cohort of projects are currently ongoing and will close in mid-April. Participants will receive mentorship, education, and $100,000 in funding. The first cohort is scheduled will participate in person from May 2023.

Jamie Burke is the Founder and CEO of Outlier Ventures. Mo Shaikh is the CEO and co-founder of Aptos Labs.

Layer 1 Blockchain Aptos Partners With Npixel To Bring Web3 Tech To Its Gaming Platform

California-based layer 1 blockchain, Aptos, announces partnership with Npixel to bring web3 tech to its gaming platform. Mo Shaikh, CEO of Aptos, has already raised more than $400 million to build out Aptos’ web3 technology. The Aptos Network is now live in the market, having launched only a few weeks ago.

Founded in 2017, Npixel hit unicorn status with its Series B round in August of last year, 2021. The firm is best known for its first massively multiplayer online role-playing game “Gran Saga”, which became a top-grossing game on the Apple App store with four million downloads since its first launch in Korea and Japan.

Jeonghwan Ko, head of the blockchain department of Npixel, stated:

“Our team chose Aptos because of their vision of bringing masses into web3 through better user experience, unparalleled technology, and easy developer onboarding. We could not be more thrilled for this strategic partnership, not only with Aptos, but also with the Aptos community.”

Aptos Labs Announces Their $150 Million Raise In Series A Funding

Layer 1 blockchain Aptos Labs just announced on Twitter that they raised $150 million in a Series A funding round. FTX Ventures and Jump Crypto led the round with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Multicoin Capital, and Circle Ventures. Aptos Labs has now apparently raised $350 million this year as it looks to use its technology and programming language, Move.

Mo Shaikh, Aptos co-founder and CEO, stated:

“We’ve known for a while that, due to issues like outages and downtime, current blockchains are not fit for purpose when it comes to mass Web3 adoption. That’s why we’re building a blockchain to be the reliable foundation for Web3 that ushers in users from around the world to experience the benefits of decentralization.”
