Players can purchase plots of land from Alice, though there is a scarce supply of plots across several islands in the universe. Each piece of land is represented in the form of NFT tokens. Players can collect and trade items, such as houses, fences, plants, and animals in the in-game marketplace. The $ALICE token is used in the game to purchase assets, land, and avatar cosmetics, as well as for staking and governance.
The parent company, Chromia, is quickly establishing itself as a metaverse and P2E platform to watch, with other notable gaming projects Mines of Dalarnia (MoD), and Revolve Games utilizing Chromia’s technology in their network topology. Chromia recently launched its $80 million Metaverse Grant Program. My Neighbor Alice has received investments from eight investors to date. Their most recent funding round was on March 10th, 2021, when they raised $2.1 million.
