The company just announced the acquisition of long-time collaborator Near Light. The two companies have a working relationship going back more than five years and they finally decided to combine to help shape the future of VR and augmented reality gaming.

Ndreams chief development officer is Tom Gillo and the current CEO is Patrick O’Luanaigh. Paul Mottram and Ben Hebb cofounded Near Light in 2016, having previously collaborated in key roles at Wide Games, Kuju Brighton, and Zoë Mode. The pair previously worked on a number of innovative titles that championed new ways to play, including games in the EyeToy Play, SingStar, and the Guitar Hero series.

Near Light developed the Ndreams published “Perfect and Shooty Fruity” VR titles, in addition to recently pioneering an AR experience for one of the world’s big toy brands. The studio is currently developing an unannounced VR title to be published by Ndreams.

Aonic Group also recently invested in AddApptr for $60 million and VR game developer NDreams for $35 million.

 

Caglar Eger, CEO of Exmox, stated: “Our continued growth is due to our team’s steadfast dedication to creating and implementing best-in-class marketing offerings that successfully help our partners expand their businesses.”

 

Paul Schempp and Olliver Hein, co-founders of Aonic, responded: “Exmox possesses an expert level of knowledge and has a unique marketing platform which will substantially strengthen the future growth of Aonic within the ad-tech space and beyond. We are extremely excited they join us and look forward to supporting them in unlocking their full potential.”
