Anima was founded in 2021 by Neil Voss and Alex Herrity. The two are known for their work with Nintendo, Epic Games, HBO, Tumblr, and Flipboard. To date, they have raised $4 million from investors such as Coinbase, Polygon, Not Boring, and Hashkey.
Anima is described as “a gaming and interactive technology company that utilizes AI, AR, and blockchain to bring digital characters and imaginary worlds to life. Onlybots is the company’s flagship game, with virtual collectible pets that live, speak, and play games with their owners and the creative world around them”.
Through this newest collaboration – popular Atari characters from games including Centipede, Adventure, Crystal Castles, and Pong will become Onlybots.![]()
The original versions of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are 2022 role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. They are the first installments in the ninth generation of the Pokémon video game series and were released on 18th November 2022.

SGG indicated these funds will be delivered by five of their subsidiaries:
– Nine66: a professional services provider for game developers
– VOV: an architectural firm specializing in gaming and esports venues
– An upcoming studio that will publish mid/core games
– ESL FACEIT Group: the esports tournament conglomerate formed from the $1.5 billion merger between ESL Group and FACEIT
– Savvy Games Fund: Savvy’s investment arm that will focus on establishing developers in Saudi Arabia
SGG is a derivative of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz serving as Chairman of the Board. The fund has already acquired significant stakes in Nintendo, Capcom, Nexon, and Embracer Group. With these additional funds, SGG stated they plan to establish 250 game companies in Saudi Arabia, creating more jobs and raising the sector’s GDP contribution.
