Noah Davis just announced on Twitter that he is leaving his current position at Christie’s Auction House to be Brand Leader at CryptoPunks for Yuga Labs. Noah Davis is well known in web3 as he played an instrumental role in Beeple’s famous “The First 5,000 Days” NFT that sold for $69 million at Christie’s in March 2021. He is also leading the Howlerz NFT project, which he will continue to work on while in his new position at Yuga Labs.

Yuga Labs acquired the CryptoPunks non-fungible token (NFT) project back in March of this year. They are now bringing on Noah Davis to be the project’s Brand Lead. Individuals think that the announcement more broadly could signal a potential resurgence of the CryptoPunks project back into the NFT sphere. Larva Labs, the project’s original creator, has notably done little to boost the project with partnerships or events. In a separate Twitter thread, a Yuga Lab co-founder said commercial rights for the project will be turned over to its owners in the coming weeks.
