They just announced the closing of a new funding round for $5 million led by Makers Fund with participation from Hummingbird Ventures’ Firat Ileri. The studio apparently plans to use the funds to grow the Magic Games team. The company has also stated that it is looking to hire artists and developers in Istanbul. 

Magic Games’ founding members consist of former members of Peak Games. These include Çağrı Öztürk, Rüya Çelikcan, and Mert Kasa. Their previous work includes games like Toy Blast, Toon Blast, and Star Blast. Notably, Zynga acquired Peak Games for $1.8 billion in 2020.

Çağrı Öztürk, CEO and Co-Founder of Magic Games believes social interactions in games are key to having deep and rich shared gameplay experiences. 

Öztürk stated in a press release: “We believe that in-game communities can transform the way that our users play with and against each other – creating friendly camaraderie out of competition. Social features are integral to our development cycle as we work to build multiplayer games that anyone can enjoy”.
