Mike Levine CEO of Mystic Moose, creator of Planet Mojo, reveals new exciting features for NFTs.

Mystic Moose is adding customizable features for its web3 game Planet Mojo and its community. Traditionally NFTs are limited to image-based, static assets but Planet Mojo’s Mojo Melee will be the first web3 game to use actual 3D models and animations as digital collectibles, “allowing users to fully express their unique style”.

The 3D “mod-able” Mojos will be customized using new items and collectibles to create a unique look that is completely player-owned. A wide range of clothing options such as hats, shirts, glasses, costumes, and more are available to help make each Mojo truly unique. These dress-up items will appear on Mojos during gameplay in Mojo Melee.

Planet Mojo announces its “Mojo Bowl Tournament” in partnership with Community Gaming. The “Mojo Melee” began weekend alpha tests a couple of months ago. Planet Mojo also hosted a charity tournament in December 2022. Now they have announced a public tournament with NFTs and USDC as prizes – running from February 11th and 12th. The tournament will be held in partnership with Community Gaming and will include around two hundred and fifty players.

There are a few ways to earn a spot in the first Mojo Melee Bowl. The first involves playing during the open qualifier weekend from February 4th to 5th. The top spots on the leaderboard during that event earn invitations. Secondly, players can win a spot through various giveaways. The first giveaway is already open on Premint.xyz.

Over the weekend Planet Mojo opened up their Mojo Melee auto-battler game for another alpha playtest. The Mojo Melee is a fantasy-based, auto-battler game built as part of the Planet Mojo ecosystem. Players build their teams around a Mojo character. Each Mojo Melee team is made up of 1 Mojo unit, 4 Champion units, and 2 SpellStones. Unlike the last playtest, this one was open to everyone, and remained open for the whole weekend.

Spellstones come with special abilities and fall into three groups:

– Attachments: which are put with a unit to provide it with the Spellstone’s ability.

– Offensive Spellstones: which are placed on the opponent’s side and affect enemy units in their range.

– Team Spellstones: which offer team bonuses.

Magic Eden Reveals Support for Digital Assets Minted on Polygon as Web3 Gaming Gains Traction

Magic Eden just announced that it will add support for NFT assets minted on Polygon, an Ethereum sidechain scaling network. Polygon enables significantly faster and cheaper transactions than Ethereum’s own mainnet, making it an ideal option for projects that require large amounts of digital assets.

Magic Eden launched 1 year ago and apparently already has a $1.6 billion valuation (at the time of reporting). It started as a marketplace only for Solana NFTs, but now it’s opening up to Ethereum. Magic Eden COO and co-founder Zhuoxun Yin, said they picked Polygon for its next addition due to two primary factors: growing adoption by major web2 brands and the potential for large-scale web3 gaming via the platform.

Magic Eden has revealed that several game developers have committed to minting their projects through its marketplace, including BORA, Intella X, nWay, Block Games, Boomland, Planet Mojo, and Taunt Battleworld.

The marketplace plans to integrate Polygon assets by the end of the year.

Planet Mojo also recently successfully released a set of 10,000 generative 3D animated NFT “Mojos” last month that will be usable in their upcoming game.

Planet Mojo revealed a collaboration with web3 gaming influencer Brycent, co-founder of LootBolt. LootBolt rewards users more directly for being a part of their community simply by having fun and enjoying their time on the Planet Mojo Discord server. Bolt does this through the use of ‘Bounties’, which are like mini-contests. Anyone who signs up for LootBolt can claim a Bounty by completing small tasks like replying to a post, tapping an emoji, or posting art.
