Baldur’s Gate 3 will be coming to PC on Steam August 3rd while Playstation is releasing the game on September 6th. It was anticipated both Playstation and PC were going to release it the same day on August 31st, but the release date on both platforms have changed according to a recent announcement.
There is limited stock still available to purchase “Baldur’s Gate 3 Collector’s Edition” according to a Playstation blog and for potential Baldur’s Gate 3 players who purchased the Collector’s edition will still get the benefit of playing 72 hours early on Playstation starting September 3rd. For those who purchased “Baldur’s Gate 3 Collector’s Edition” will get emails for early access codes to play at the start of September 3rd from Playstation that comes with the game’s Deluxe Edition according to a Playstation blog.
Emergent Games was formed earlier last year with the aim to attract gamers through a “game-first, free-to-play, choose-to-own ecosystem”. London-based digital entertainment studio Maze Theory and crypto technology operations platform Pluto Digital cumulatively invested $7.6 million as part of the deal.
The partnership is hoping to combine blockchain expertise and immersive gaming to “form a business at the forefront of the new decentralized gaming sector” and launch a triple-A web3 game. The game studio comprises a team of digital creatives from top gaming companies, including PlayStation, Sumo Digital, and Codemasters.
The web3 triple-A massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is called “Resurgence”. The prologue to the post-apocalyptic sci-fi MMO is called “The End” and is the first part of the game’s world-building phase. It is described as an interactive experience that introduces the setting, key characters, and politics that build the game’s intriguing story.
Hawked is described as an online shooter in which teams or solo players race to collect and extract treasure from a remote island. It’s a player-versus-player-versus environment game. For the closed Alpha, the core game mode will be Hunt in which players will be scouring the island for Artifacts. However, the Artifacts are not just for scoring points, they are usable items providing in-game benefits that, once a player extracts them, are theirs to keep for future games.
The title will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Savage Game Studios was established in 2020 and is led by co-founders Michail Katkoff, Nadjim Adjir, and Michael McManus. The developer is apparently working on a “new unannounced Triple-A mobile live service action game”. They will operate independently from its console development and focus on “innovative, on-the-go experiences” based on new and existing PlayStation franchises, the company announced in a press release.
Savage Game Studios co-founder and CEO, Michail Katkoff, stated: “We made this deal because we believe that PlayStation Studios’ leadership respects our vision for how we can best operate and succeed, and because they too are not afraid to take chances.”
Michail Katkoff is also the founder of popular gaming media company Deconstructor of Fun – as well as a venture partner at Play Ventures. Play Ventures is a new game VC founded by games entrepreneurs, investing globally in games and game services startups.

The First Descendant is described as a sci-fi game with 4-player co-op, multiple playable characters, and battles against giant boss monsters. Nexon previously debuted the game as “Project Magnum” before revealing the actual title. The company also released DNF Duel earlier this year.
The first beta for the game will launch on October 20th and run on Steam for a week. It will feature ten playable characters. Though the beta will be on Steam, The First Descendant launches on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
Neo Fairies is apparently still taking shape and could potentially be a video game, TV show, or book. The storyline as it currently stands is that fairies have been driven into hiding by humans after having existed since the “beginning of time”, but the fairies are emerging back into the world in a new era.
Luda plans to let its community of creators steer its path forward via a Solana-based DAO. The goal is to feed sections of narrative and world-building content to creators in the DAO and then allow them to create their own characters.
Luda has said they are planning to open their Discord server later this month and let participants claim their spot ahead of launching the creation platform later this year. Those who mint a Neo Fairy NFT will gain access to the DAO community and participate in franchise and story development. Besides transaction fees, minting will apparently be free.
