FunPlus backed XPLA, built by Com2Us, reveals three new games coming to its platform:

(a) Summoners War: Chronicles’ is joining their ecosystem in July

(b) Ace Fishing: CREW

XPLA is a blockchain mainnet originally built by Com2Us. It operates as a gaming platform and hub for all types of media content. XPLA recently announced it is expanding its web3 ecosystem by partnering with Jeremy Horns Xterio. The partnership is letting Xterio bring its catalog and digital assets to XPLA’s ecosystem for the duration of the agreement.

XPLA is also apparently using this new partnership to leverage a connection with FunPlus. It’s turning XPLA into FunPlus’ exclusive web3 partner. FunPlus is the developer of some pretty popular mobile games, like State of Survival, King of Avalon, and Guns of Glory.

Xterio combines a play-to-earn gaming platform and a GameFi-as-a-service solution for developers in the partner network, according to the whitepaper. Last year Xterio raised $40 million in a funding round led by FunPlus and XPLA. Xterio recently invested $2.5 million in Overworld. Xterio is a cross-platform publisher and developer of high-quality mobile and Web3 games. Last year, Xterio announced that they had raised $40 million in a funding round led by FunPlus. The funding apparently went toward game development and building out the platform.

Now Xterio, together with its operating company LibeccioTech, is investing the initial funding in Overworld to launch unique game-themed collectibles on the Xterio platform, which will house a marketplace, social community hub, user-centric tools, and more.

Jeremy Horn is the COO of Xterio and head of Overworld. Formerly vice president of strategy at Jam City, Horn is a game veteran with expertise in top-grossing social free-to-play games across multiple platforms. The Overworld team has eight veterans coming from Riot Games, Disney, Krafton, Jam City, and Ubisoft.

The mobile game company has now just announced its expansion in Barcelona. The company, which already has a presence in the city, will open a new game development studio there. According to FunPlus, it will work with local government to support the city’s talent pool.

FunPlus is best known for its mobile-first strategy titles, such as State of Survival and Guns of Glory. The former recently hit its three-year anniversary and hit 150 million downloads. The company established its original office in Barcelona in 2019.
