Four blockchain game startups have formed the Web3 Games Collective (W3GC) to “leverage their expertise in creating a wave of breakout blockchain games”. The members of W3GC include Yield Guild Games (YGG), Game7, Magic Eden, and Fenix Games.
The companies made the announcement at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). The founding members say they plan to leverage their collective expertise and resources to focus on improving discovery, distribution, and sustainable growth for high-potential, quality blockchain game projects.

SBT tokens are permanently linked to a person’s wallet, making them non-transferable. The company plans to place the tokens directly into games. YGG will reward creators with SBT tokens for completing selected tasks or quests. The company is launching a revamped version of its web app in March 2023, with the Soul token expected to play a big role in the guild’s ecosystem platform.
Oasys already has strong institutional backing and some of the other initial validators on its blockchain include: Bandai Namco Research, SEGA, Ubisoft, Netmarble, Wemade, Com2uS, and Yield Guild Games. 
Blockchain Capital led the round, with Merit Circle, Com2uS, Mysten Labs, Solana Ventures, Yield Guild Games, and Hustle Fund participating. The company plans to use the funding to build out more features for the platform, as well as new games. It also intends to offer its own web3 wallet to users, as well as ease onboarding for web2 users.
Gameplay Galaxy users will be able to earn money by competing in Trial Xtreme’s races and competitions, and will also be able to earn their own in-game assets, including NFTs. The creators also say that users who don’t wish to engage with these mechanics can enjoy the racing by itself.
