Internet Game just announced a recent raise of $7 million in a seed funding round. Investors included Rus Yusupov (HQ Trivia co-founder), ParaFi Capital, Dragonfly Capital, Delphi Digital, Uniswap Ventures, Collab+Currency, Gmoney, Milk Road, Ready Player DAO, and Zedd (co-founder of Magic Eden).
Internet Game’s first season launched back in March of this year – with 8,000 players minting $2.2 million worth of NFTs to gain access to the game. With those proceeds, the business apparently purchased more than $1 million in NFT prizes which had been voted on by the players. These included items from collections such as Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, Doodles, Azuki, and Clone X.
Internet Game: Season 2 “Bear Market Battle” launches on September 12th and will be hosted by NFT influencer Gmoney and Clubhouse comedy show host Leah Lamarr. Season 2 will apparently feature six new games with various prize pools available.
