MMO developer, Black Block, reveals Sprawl Game “Job Avatar Collection” Mint will be on Polygon:
The Sprawl is described as a new GTA-like web3 game with a “vast and bustling web3 sandbox city where players can live their best life, and achieve the American Dream.” Black Block raised $1.5 million from Play Ventures in December of last year (2022).
The founding team includes:
CEO Robin Squire – who was a former employee of Rovio and ex-marketing director at PlayRaven.
CPO Paul Kurowski – who was previously the lead artist at Rockstar North during the development and release of GTAIII, Vice City, and San Andreas.
CTO is Stanislav Semakin – who is a former PlayRaven employee.
The company chairman Matthew Wilson – who is a former Rovio business development director.
Black Block CEO Robin Squire made the follow statement in a press release:
“We established Black Block to push the boundaries of online open worlds and have been laser-focused on how player-driven economies, ownership, and governance can impact these spaces since day one. This City Pass drop is our first step to realizing this vision in web3 ahead of providing our holders with a first glimpse of their digital selves and job roles in 2023.”
